Featured Designer: Gudrun & Gudrun

We are dying over our newest shipment from Guðrun & Guðrun!  We love this line, owned by two Faroese women who believe  “It’s good to come to Europe for input and inspiration, but it’s crucial to come back home to the silence and not be disturbed by the hectic life of fashion."

The designers

The Faroe Islands are 18 tiny islands situated in the North Atlantic, between Iceland and Norway, with a population of only 45,000 inhabiting all the islands.  Their sweaters are gorgeous hand-knit mohair creations that are a perfect mix of rural and chic.  These sweaters are truly one-of-a-kind!  We only have a few in stock and once they are gone they cannot be re-ordered!  Stop in to the boutique now to get your unique and timeless sweater.  They are so cozy, but also so fashionable that you will never want to take them off!  

Pictured is one of our three styles of sweaters.  Kitty paired it with some leggings from Shin Choi and a necklace from Millianna.  She kept the outfit understated to let the sweater speak for itself.  Below is a close-up of the knit--doesn't it just look like a dreamy cloud?

Louise Rahr wears our fabulous look of the week!

The lovely Louise Rahr modeled this wonderful piece from AKA New York for our look of the week. The item can be worn as a dress, shown here, or as a tunic over some skinny black leggings from J Brand or Shoshanna! It features silver and blue beading around the neckline and a fun black and white stripe pattern.

To complement the sparkle, Gramercy manager Kitty selected some new jewelry items from New York-based Millianna. These bracelets, which come in silver and gold, are beautiful from every angle. They add glitter to a simple t-shirt and jeans, or pair perfectly with an evening dress!

We also love Millianna's necklace, which comes in silver and gold. The front and back are stunning! We layered the gold necklace over a black Shoshanna top for some striking contrast:
