Laurie in Seaton..sigh!

Remember that amazing cashmere striped Seaton shawl/sweater we showed you last week?  It's amazing and, of course, it's even more amazing on our lovely model Laurie!  So perfect for throwing over your white jeans as you take an evening stroll along the beach.  And, of course, stripes and cashmere never go out of style!  The piece also comes in pink/white and blue/green combinations.  Of course, they go with everything and will keep you warm, preppy, and fashionable for your whole vacay!

Sweater Love

Definitely obsessing over sweaters right now (but then again, who isn't!)  We love everything this season has to offer, from oversized chunky knits to structured cardigans to classics like Fair Isle pullovers.  On so many runways the sweaters were definitely front & center, pulling the entire outfit together.  Here are a few curent faves:

Tory Burch, Mulberry, Marc Jacobs, Lutz & Patmos, Luisa Beccaria

I just love how much of a STATEMENT they make!  They're not over-the-top, but they definitely don't fade into the background.  There seems to be so much focus on cut, color, embellishments, and material. Also loving how classic all of these looks are!  The models look so polished and put together in neutral colors, preppy pumps, and simple skirts.  Adorable!!!

To get the look at Gramercy, Kitty pulled a few new favorite sweaters off our racks from Jodi Arnold and Tibi.  On the left is a lucious grey cashmere pullover from Jodi Arnold with a removable cowl neck. The cut is loose in the body but fitted at the sleeves and waist for great balance.  Pair it with riding boots and a colorful silk scarf for classic elegance!  Also we LOVE this pink cardigan from Tibi, which is perfect for skirts and cozy dresses!

Here's another amazing pullover from Jodi Arnold, which again balances draping and fit.  Love that chain neckline detail--it kind of reminds me of a more subtle version of this amazing Michael Kors creation...

Inspiration: Vintage Feel

This season, one of the biggest trends we've spotted is a vintage look that goes back to the 50s and early 60s.  It's all about classic cuts, A-lines, pencil skirts, and emphasizing femininity.  We love how the look is being updated with new fabrics, fabulous prints, and killer shoes without losing any of its charm or grace.  Here are a few fave pics off the runways for Fall 2010 from Prada, Louis Vuitton, Veronique Leroy, and Mulberry:

To recreate the runway trend, think tailored knits and tweeds, full skirts, fur (or faux fur) trims, and sculpted tops.  And don't forget your pearls and diamonds!  These outfits are classic and timeless, especially for fall/winter.  The cuts let you look structured even when you have a lot of layers on for chilly weather!  Below is some more inspiration to get your closet creativity humming...

So amazing...We threw one on top of an amazing cashmere Magaschoni wrap sweater.  It really makes the entire outfit pop.  Wear them on top of sweaters, around blouses, over a-line dresses and skirts, or anything else!  Pair it with heels and simple stud earrings for a perfect 50s look!

Sweater Season!

October is in full-swing in Pennsylvania, and it is definitely time for some warm sweaters!  We have some amazing thick knits in stock now at Gramercy to throw on over any outfit and stay toasty!  Below are some faves from Adam and Minnie Rose:

We love this grey and cream knit from Adam to put on over a simple tee and skinny jeans.  Kitty paired it with this great chunky necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane to complete the look.  This outfit is perfect for weekdays and weekends alike--the sweater is so effortlessly chic!

This is another amazing sweater from Adam.  We love the rustic knit pattern and wonderfully oversize turtleneck.  The sleeves and waist are fitted to balance it all out.  Perfect for curling up to some hot tea on a chilly night!

We think this cashmere Minnie Rose is so dreamy, especially with a gorgeous woven Kenneth Jay Lane necklace!  The color goes with everything this season.  The knit is so unbelievably soft, we know you will want to sleep in it!

Turtlenecks!

It's officially October now, and we're kicking off the month by highlighting some of our amazing new turtlenecks in stock now from Magaschoni and Tibi.  We love the structured look of turtlenecks, especially when paired with a great tailored skirt or pants!  Top them with some chunky jewelry, a fitted coat and some Love Quotes scarves for a warm look all winter long!

Below is a cashmere turtleneck from Magaschoni and with a wooden necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane.  The feel of this top is amazing--you will never want to take it off!  Pair it with some fresh apples from the farmer's market and a warm pumpkin spice latte and you are fall-perfect!
