Drape yourself in Tibi Resort

The silk beaded GGT dress by Tibi--it is pure magic!!  It can be worn a hundred different ways, from fancy night out to simple stroll through town.  We love the soft lilac color--perfect to show off your sun-kissed skin!  The dress is dotted with different shaped clear beads and ties in the back.  Strappy sandals make this perfect for a cocktail at sunset, but it's also easy enough to throw on for anything!  It's so adorable and cool--definitely making us wish outside looked a little less snowy and a little more like this:

Resort at Gramercy!

Are you ready to get out of the snowy weather yet?  It is only January and it is so cold here on the Main Line!  The rest of the month and February do not look very promising, which is why it is a perfect time to leave town for a warm getaway vacation!  Resort clothing has arrived at Gramercy Boutique, and we have everything you need to look chic and comfortable on boat decks, beaches, or wherever your travels may take you.

12 Days of Christmas: A Tibi Sweater with Beads!

 It's Day 11 in our countdown of the 12 Days of Christmas and we are so excited to showcase this amazing beaded sweater by Tibi.  It's a gorgeous neutral color with some beautiful handcrafted beadwork around the collar in lovely greens, blues, and reds.  And we absolutely LOVE the integrated pockets in the front!

This sweater is perfect for dashing around town or entertaining cozily at home.  Wear it with slacks or over a simple dress for a look that's both fresh and polished.  Of course, it also makes a wonderful gift for someone special!!

New from Tibi!

It's one of our favorite days ever when the UPS man delivers a huge box of new Tibi items!  This past week, we received an amazing assortment of shimmery and sparkley tops, dresses, and skirts.  All of these items are perfect for so many of the festivities that come this time of the year.  Wear all of them to cocktail parties, bar mitzvahs, dinners on the town, and openings for some sophisticated shine.

This silk top is draped and features a rhinestone accent on the shoulder.  We love the feel of it and that wonderful color--so chic and fun!  Also that bloom skirt is AMAZING!!  It has layered rosette details and will make every outfit so fabulous!  Pair it with tights and some great suede wedges for an ultimate go-to look for every special occasion!

This dark violet top is magic under theatre lights!  The sequins are sophisticated, and we love the v-back.  Pair it with a black pencil skirt for an event, or even match it with black pants and a blazer for day wear!

We really love the cutouts and sequin and bead detail on this silk top.  The silver beading shines against the cool slate color, and it hangs amazingly.  So cute!!

Sweater Love

Definitely obsessing over sweaters right now (but then again, who isn't!)  We love everything this season has to offer, from oversized chunky knits to structured cardigans to classics like Fair Isle pullovers.  On so many runways the sweaters were definitely front & center, pulling the entire outfit together.  Here are a few curent faves:

Tory Burch, Mulberry, Marc Jacobs, Lutz & Patmos, Luisa Beccaria

I just love how much of a STATEMENT they make!  They're not over-the-top, but they definitely don't fade into the background.  There seems to be so much focus on cut, color, embellishments, and material. Also loving how classic all of these looks are!  The models look so polished and put together in neutral colors, preppy pumps, and simple skirts.  Adorable!!!

To get the look at Gramercy, Kitty pulled a few new favorite sweaters off our racks from Jodi Arnold and Tibi.  On the left is a lucious grey cashmere pullover from Jodi Arnold with a removable cowl neck. The cut is loose in the body but fitted at the sleeves and waist for great balance.  Pair it with riding boots and a colorful silk scarf for classic elegance!  Also we LOVE this pink cardigan from Tibi, which is perfect for skirts and cozy dresses!

Here's another amazing pullover from Jodi Arnold, which again balances draping and fit.  Love that chain neckline detail--it kind of reminds me of a more subtle version of this amazing Michael Kors creation...

Trendspotting: Sparkle, sparkle, sparkle!

In the last blog post, we pictured an amazing beaded jacket by Parker, paired with a metallic beaded necklace by Kenneth Jay Lane.  The ensemble was shimmery and eye-catching without being over the top--perfect for cocktail parties or evenings on the town!  And sure enough, sparkle is everywhere this season, especially for tops and jackets.  Here are some pics from the runways of Paris and New York for Autumn/Winter 2010:

We love this look so much!  Of course, winter sparkle is a classic.  Keeping it simple makes them timeless--you will be able to wear them again and again!  Pair it with monochrome and neutral pieces as shown above to focus all the attention on the glitter!

Kitty paired this Parker jacket with a metallic Kenneth Jay Lane necklace and a Tibi top.  This little number is the spotlight of the party!  Or maybe it's just the entire party!!

Holiday GLAM!

Turtlenecks!

It's officially October now, and we're kicking off the month by highlighting some of our amazing new turtlenecks in stock now from Magaschoni and Tibi.  We love the structured look of turtlenecks, especially when paired with a great tailored skirt or pants!  Top them with some chunky jewelry, a fitted coat and some Love Quotes scarves for a warm look all winter long!

Below is a cashmere turtleneck from Magaschoni and with a wooden necklace from Kenneth Jay Lane.  The feel of this top is amazing--you will never want to take it off!  Pair it with some fresh apples from the farmer's market and a warm pumpkin spice latte and you are fall-perfect!

 We also have some amazing turtlenecks from Tibi, pictured below.  They come in mauve, cream, and navy.  We love the detail on the shoulders, especially the way the fabric cascades off of the left!  They are classic and fashion-forward at the same time--a Tibi signature!

More Tibi we love!

In writing the last post, we were poking around the fabulous Tibi blog and we found this fantastic video of their runway collection for Spring 2011.  Women's Wear Daily called it "Tibi at its best" and we can see why!  We love all the neutrals and whites, simple dresses and clean lines.  

Time for fall with Tibi

The weather we have been having lately on the Main Line has been so temperamental!  One day it seems to be crisp and chilly and we're sipping hot cocoa, and the next it is hot and sunny and we're pumping the air conditioning!  But the odd transition weather doesn't get in the way of obsessing over all the amazing cool-weather clothes we are getting at Gramercy--especially when it comes to coats!  Even with the warm/cool weather, we are definitely still stocking up on what we will need later!  

We love this simple and elegant charcoal grey coat from Tibi.  Kitty paired it with a simple turquoise linen scarf from Love Quotes.  We love the ruffles around the collar and front pockets, and simple metal clasp.  It's a perfect every day coat that pairs well with everything!

This week's fabulous pick comes from our huge arrival of pre-fall clothing from Tibi! For a sophisticated and elegant look, manager Kitty paired a gorgeous white tunic top with an amazing embroidered pink and navy skirt. The fabrics are luscious, and each item can be worn in any combination of ways!
